Question Best way to learn PHP in 2026?

I know some JavaScript. I want to build real websites with PHP and Laravel. Where should I start?

Learn plain PHP first (forms, sessions, PDO), then jump into Laravel. Build one small project end to end — a todo app or a mini blog.

And read other people's code. The guides section here has a few good starter tutorials.
