Question How do I point my domain to my hosting?

I bought a domain and a hosting plan from different companies. The site still shows a parking page after two days. What do I need to change?

You need to change the domain's nameservers to the ones your host gave you (usually something like ns1/ns2 of the host). Alternatively keep the current nameservers and add an A record pointing to your hosting IP.
  1. Log in where you bought the domain.
  2. Find "Nameservers" or "DNS".
  3. Enter the host's nameservers and save.
Changes usually show within a few hours.

That was it! I had added the A record but the nameservers were still the registrar's default. Works now, thank you so much @VikramR 🙏
